Job summary

Brenntag seeks a Maintenance Engineering Manager for Scunthorpe Operations to lead the maintenance team across two sites, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient plant operations. The role focuses on DSEAR/ATEX compliance, hazardous-area management and maintenance of semi-automated processing equipment.

You will oversee planned, preventive and reactive maintenance, manage the SHIRE CMMS, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a safety-critical, regulated environment.
• Experience managing maintenance across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX and COMAH requirements.
• CMMS expertise and data-driven maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance engineering team across two sites.
• Oversee planned, preventive and reactive maintenance to maximise asset uptime.
• Manage SHIRE CMMS, asset records and maintenance routines.
• Monitor KPIs and contractor performance; manage safety compliance.
• Support projects, upgrades and hazardous-area remediation.
• Maintain DSEAR/ATEX documentation and PUWER/LOLER adherence.
