Job summary

A leading civil engineering company in the UK is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join their team. This role involves delivering a Water Treatment Works Upgrade project in Bournemouth and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have a BTEC or HNC in Civil Engineering and relevant surveying experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity within a growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Setting out the works and checking site work for compliance.
  • Agreement of site measurements and records with client staff.
  • Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes.
  • Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.

Skills

Civil engineering experience within the Water Sector
Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic level)
First Aid at Work
SMSTS
EUSR SHEA Water (preferred)

Education

BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction

The Role

Looking to strengthen their delivery team with a Senior Site Engineer, this company are well renowned for their excellence in delivering civil engineering projects, specifically within the water sector.

Site based, you will initially be part of the team delivering a Water Treatment Works Upgrade project in Bournemouth.

As the Senior Site Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager, providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices
  • Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, preparation of Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments
  • Setting out the works.
  • Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
  • Agreement of site measurements and records with the client staff.
  • Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
  • Ensure that the required quality records are maintained
About The Candidate

You\'ll need to have civil engineering experience, ideally within the Water Sector and have the following:

  • BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction
  • Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic level)
  • First Aid at Work
  • SMSTS
  • EUSR SHEA Water (preferred)
