Job summary

A leading civil engineering contractor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Engineer to play a key role in delivering earthworks and drainage packages on a major project. The successful candidate will manage junior engineers and ensure compliance with specifications. Applicants should possess a relevant HNC or degree, along with proven experience in site engineering, ideally on major projects. This long-term contract offers a daily rate of £400 - £450, dependent on experience, and is IR35 inside via umbrella.

Qualifications

• Proven Site Engineering experience on earthworks, drainage or structure packages.
• Strong setting out experience on ideally a major project.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and overseeing works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Managing and coordinating subcontractors.
• Resolving technical issues in liaison with the senior engineering team.
• Assisting with short-term planning, progress reporting, resource planning, and cost control.
• Ensuring site teams have the correct and up-to-date information to carry out their duties.
