Senior Service Technician - The Role

As a Senior Service Technician at Mainline, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of Powered Access, Lifting and Handling Equipment both in the depot and on customer sites. You'll ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use, maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Reporting to the Workshop Foreman and to the Service Manager in their absence, you'll work closely with the wider service team to deliver efficient, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
  • To service and repair plant and access equipment on site and at depot
  • To carry out relevant administration with regards to job cards, test certificates booking in and out on the system
  • To order parts ensuring they are the most cost effective solution
  • To deal with customer queries including fault finding over the telephone
  • To inform the Service Manager of repairs which are under warranty or of an urgent nature
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards
Senior Service Technician - You
  • Have proven mechanical and/or electrical experience with Powered Access, forklifts, telehandlers, or similar plant equipment
  • Can quickly diagnose and repair faults, keeping machines operational for customer projects
  • Take responsibility for servicing equipment to manufacturer and company standards, ensuring every machine passes safety checks
  • Are confident in completing accurate job documentation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Consistently follow Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards
