We have an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Service Engineer to join Alvest Equipment Services (UK) Ltd based in Kempston, Bedford. You will be part of a respected technical service team, responsible for world-class power-related electronic equipment. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning works.

Alvest Equipment Services (UK) supports TLD, a recognized designer and manufacturer of power solutions for various markets. This role will focus on Static Inverters, Aviation Ground Power units, Fixed Power, and Battery GPU.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fixed power at head of stand 415 V in 200V X400Hz, along with TRU knowledge of 28 volts.

This fast-paced role requires strength of character and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will perform site, factory, and office-based tasks, including:

• Representing AES during customer site visits
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Preparing for customer visits with completed RAMS and requirements
• Fault diagnosis using technical experience and diagnostic equipment
• Communicating with stakeholders to maintain relationships and service levels
• Housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas and tools
• Signing off repaired units at workshop or customer sites

Profil recherché

• At least NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Full UK Driving License
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role or related experience with Ground Power Units & Ground Support Equipment
