Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Bridlington from January 2027. This full-time, term-time position offers weekly PAYE payments and opportunities to support students with additional needs in a dynamic educational setting.

You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver learning activities, monitor progress, and maintain an inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic and personal development.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting students in a school setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach to learning environments.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across subjects.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional needs.
• Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom dynamics.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Track and report on student progress where required.
• Supervise students during breaks and school activities.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive school environment.
