Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Security Monitoring and Response Analyst in London (Angel Lane). You will triage alerts, respond to security incidents, and drive improvements with playbooks and lessons learned. The role requires SOC experience, incident response expertise, and strong collaboration across security teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SIEM, EDR/NDR, cloud security, and forensics tools, contributing to a secure payments infrastructure in the UK.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Experience in incident response or digital forensics.
• Experience with vulnerability research, network traffic analysis, static and dynamic malware analysis, memory analysis, web-security and threat hunting.
• Preferred: SIEM querying (SPL) and cloud security experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide monitoring coverage, triage and investigation of escalated alerts.
• Respond to cybersecurity incidents with playbook-driven actions.
• Perform root cause analysis and post-incident improvements.
• Collaborate with security engineering, threat intelligence and managed SOC.
• Develop knowledge base, playbooks, and use cases; support cross-team projects.
