Security Incident and SOC Manager

The role you are applying for will be part of the automotive business. This means you will have the opportunity to be a part of shaping a new company aimed at meeting the needs of the transforming global automotive market.

Join us as a Security Incident and SOC Manager in the Automotive Business.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our e2e incident management process.
  • Oversee definition of best practices and effective response structures by / with SOC.
  • Collaborate closely with SOC to minimize and manage security incidents.
  • Lead major incidents in real‑time while continuously improving processes.
  • Coordinate cyber incident tracking resolution and response efforts.
  • Enable SOC operational activities to monitor and analyse cyber threats with oversight.
  • Drive the development and regular updates of incident response plans with advisory.
  • Facilitate simulation activities, tabletop exercises and resilience activities.
  • Ensure efficient recovery post‑incidents and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance on incident response best practices.
  • Enable CISO with comprehensive SOC reports for effective decision‑making.
Qualifications
  • Strong security operational background in tech with experience in high‑stakes environments.
  • Natural problem‑solver with the ability to act fast and decisively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate, inform and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for building a world‑class incident management function and improving processes.
  • Strategic mindset with a thorough security hands‑on approach when needed.
  • Several years of experience in Incident Management or operational roles.
  • Academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent working experience.
  • Proficient in English both verbally and in written form.

Some additional information

Location: While the main SKF Automotive sites in EMEA are our preferred location for this position we are open to discussing other Automotive locations for the right candidate (with a general preference for the candidate to continue working at their local site).
