HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to service CCTV, access control and intruder alarms across Essex. The role offers a salary up to £50,000 plus overtime, a company vehicle and paid travel time.

It is a full-time, field-based position with no London travel involved. The successful candidate will have strong fault-finding skills, a full UK driving licence, and experience with multiple manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong experience as a Security Engineer or senior engineer.
• Experience in CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.
• Knowledge of multiple security system manufacturers.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of service tasks.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain IP CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance across Essex sites.
• Work with various security system manufacturers.
• Ensure work meets industry regulations and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers when needed.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Resolve technical issues and deliver excellent customer service.

Senior Security Engineer (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarms) - Essex Only - Up to £50,000

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join a well-established and growing security systems company covering Essex exclusively, with no London work required. Offering a salary of up to £50,000, alongside overtime, a company vehicle and paid travel time, this is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer looking for a stable, long-term position without the daily commute into London. This role covers Essex only. There are no London sites or requirements to travel into London. This is a full-time, field-based position working across commercial and residential sites, servicing and maintaining a wide range of electronic security systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing IP CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial and residential sites throughout Essex
• Working with a range of security system manufacturers
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with relevant industry regulations
• Providing technical support and guidance to other engineers where required
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Completing service reports and documentation accurately
• Taking responsibility for resolving technical issues and delivering excellent customer service

Skills & Experience Required

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Strong experience as a Security Engineer, Senior Security Engineer or Security Systems Engineer
• Experience in one or more disciplines: CCTV, access control and intruder alarms
• Good knowledge of a range of security system manufacturers
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of service and maintenance work
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Relevant qualifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA or City & Guilds are desirable
• Willingness to undertake additional training and manufacturer courses
