Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a hands-on AI for Discovery specialist to design and deploy agentic AI and predictive modeling tools for novel target discovery. You will work at the intersection of AI and biology, applying deep learning to translational science across Oncology and BioPharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with strong computational biology/AI background.
• Experience applying agentic AI or multi-agent systems to scientific problems.
• Proficiency in Python and production-quality code for scientific apps.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy agentic AI and predictive models for target discovery.
• Build multi-agent AI systems within therapeutic-area workflows.
• Benchmark foundation models for in silico biology and translational biology problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex results clearly.
• Contribute to publications and external collaborations.
