Job summary

The Institute of Cancer Research Sutton is seeking a Senior Scientific Officer to provide scientific and technical leadership in establishing and operating advanced in vivo cancer modelling and immunology platforms. You will contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies and collaborate with researchers across the Division of Cancer Biology and The Royal Marsden.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in cancer biology or immunology, possess strong tumour immunology

• Strong knowledge of tumour immunology, cancer biology and molecular cloning

Salary : Salary Range: £56,000 - £62,836 per annum . Commencement on the salary range is subject to comparable skills and experience.

Duration ofContract: Fixed Term for 3 years

Hours per week : 35 hours per week (Full Time)

Location: Sutton

Under the guidance ofDr David Kung-Chung Chiu, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Scientific Officertoprovide scientific and technical leadership in establishing and operating advanced in vivo cancer modelling and immunology platforms, while contributing to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies

About you

The successful candidate must have:

• PhD in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology or a related discipline


• Strong knowledge of tumour immunology, cancer biology and molecular cloning

The Centre for In Vivo Modelling is a newly established research centre within the Division of Cancer Biology at the ICR. Our scientists and clinical researchers use state-of-the-art in vivo models to address fundamental questions in cancer biology, with the ultimate aim of identifying curative treatments. We also serve as a collaborative hub across the ICR and The Royal Marsden , providing cutting-edge expertise in advanced mouse genetics and humanised in vivo models of cancer.
