Role and Location
Based within a Secondary School Science Department, London Borough of Wandsworth. Full-time, Monday to Friday, ASAP start.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Health and Safety within the science department
- Prepare solutions and equipment for lessons
- Assemble apparatus for demonstrations according to lesson plans
- Ensure safe waste disposal and adherence to procedures
- Trial new activities and experiments before classroom use
- Maintain laboratory equipment
- Carry out risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures
- Support teachers and pupils to enable effective science lessons
Qualifications and Profile
- Science Graduate with laboratory experience
- Good communication skills to liaise with pupils, teachers and other technicians
- Strong attention to detail
- Aspiring science teachers
