Senior Science Technician – Manchester | 3RD November start

Location: Manchester

Start Date: 3rd November start

Contract: Full-time, Ongoing

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08 : 00 – 15 : 30

Pay : £ per day

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Science technician team, support teaching staff, and ensure the smooth running of practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

About the Role
  • Prepare and set up experiments for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and stock
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities
  • Ensure health & safety compliance in all science labs
  • Train and supervise junior technicians where applicable
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Proven experience as a Science Technician in a secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in school science labs
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team
