GagaMuller is seeking a Senior Schedule Manager to join our team in London. You will collaborate with experienced, diverse teams to drive schedule planning, monitoring, and governance across complex projects.

You will lead the development and oversight of Integrated Master Schedules, liaising with General Contractors and clients to ensure realism and alignment with cost and logistics plans. On-site full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate the high-level milestone schedule prepared by the General Contractor for executive and client reporting purposes.
  • Provide oversight and assurance of the detailed baseline IMS, ensuring it reflects design deliverables, procurement activities, construction sequencing, IST, and handover readiness.
  • Review integration of contractor and vendor programmes for consistency and completeness.
  • Monitor progress against baseline; provide early warning of slippage and mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Construction Management consultants to ensure consistent governance.
  • Review EVM reporting and analyse EV, PV, and AC metrics and variances where required by the Client.
  • Provide schedule status reporting: weekly look-ahead, monthly dashboards, schedule variance analyses.
  • Chair schedule review and assurance meetings with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Establish and maintain schedule governance and reporting procedures in line with Client requirements.
  • Review risk and compliance through QSRA exercises and capture mitigations.

Responsibilities:

1. Scope & Delivery Management

1.1 Planning & Development Phase

  • Review and validate the high-level milestone schedule prepared by the General Contractor for executive and client reporting purposes.
  • Provide oversight and assurance of the detailed baseline Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) developed by the General Contractor, ensuring it appropriately reflects:
    • Design deliverables
    • Procurement activities
    • Construction sequencing
    • Commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
    • Handover and operational readiness
  • Review the integration of individual contractor and vendor programmes into the master schedule to ensure logical consistency and completeness.
  • Validate schedule logic, dependency relationships, float values, and identification of the critical path.
  • Ensure alignment of the programme with the approved cost plan, resource assumptions, and site logistics strategy.
  • Review and challenge schedule health metrics and compliance with industry best practice scheduling standards.
  • Verify the use of agreed naming conventions, coding structures, and schedule architecture to support transparent reporting and analysis.
  • Review and validate contractor and vendor programmes and their associated Basis of Schedule documentation for realism, achievability, and contractual compliance.

1.2 Schedule Monitoring & Control Phase

  • Monitor progress against the approved baseline schedule and assess contractor-reported progress updates.
  • Review critical path movements, forecast completion dates, and emerging schedule risks.
  • Provide early warning to the Client of potential slippage, mitigation requirements, or recovery actions.
  • Review and assess the schedule impact of design changes, delays, or scope variations.
  • Evaluate contractor-proposed mitigation or acceleration measures and provide recommendations to the Client.
  • Review and validate the commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing schedules prepared by the General Contractor.
  • Monitor readiness for key commissioning, turnover, and handover milestones.
  • Review schedule close-out activities and final programme reconciliation at project completion.
  • Provide schedule assurance input into project close-out reporting.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Review, manage, and provide assurance on schedules submitted by the General Contractor(s).
  • Report programme status, risks, and forecast outcomes upstream to the Client / Developer.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Construction Management consultants to ensure consistent programme governance when managing the General Contractor(s).
  • Monitor contractor performance against scheduled milestones and contractual programme obligations.
  • Review contractor Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting where required by the Client, including analysis of EV, PV, and AC metrics and associated variances.

3. Risk & Compliance Management

  • Review and support Qualitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) exercises on agreed programmes to assess schedule risk exposure and potential impacts on overall completion.
  • Ensure identified schedule risks are appropriately captured, mitigated, and reported within the project risk framework.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Provide schedule status reporting to the Client through:
    • Weekly look-ahead and progress reports
    • Monthly executive dashboards
    • Schedule variance and forecast analysis
  • Chair schedule review and assurance meetings with key stakeholders and contractors.
  • Establish and maintain schedule governance, control, and reporting procedures in line with Client requirements.
