Job summary

The role requires 6+ years in IT, solid OOP/FP knowledge, experience with RESTful APIs and microservices, and familiarity with Git and DevOps CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT industry experience with strong software development
• Strong programming in Scala and familiarity with Scala frameworks
• Good working knowledge of Java and backend development
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional Programming concepts
• Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance applications and services
• Strong knowledge of MySQL including design, query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Experience in banking/financial services domain preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Scala.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in design and development.
• Support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation initiatives
