Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Senior SAP Developer to drive digital transformation by delivering SAP solutions that support critical operations across defence, aerospace and engineering. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering development, configuration and governance with hybrid UK-based arrangements.

Day-to-day you’ll design SAP solutions, document work, and ensure delivery against SLAs while expanding SAP functionality with OData, CDS, ABAP, UI5 and Fiori knowledge across FI,

The role

As a Senior SAP Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our digital transformation, helping to deliver innovative SAP solutions that support critical operations across defence, aerospace and engineering.

Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that’s driving continuous improvement and ensuring our SAP estate delivers real business value.

• Delivering specialist-level development, configuration and functional support for SAP solutions to agreed SLAs
• Creating and implementing SAP solutions for projects using established standards and governance
• Ensuring development work is completed, tested and documented to a high standard
• Updating technical documentation for each task processed
• Identifying and suggesting emerging standards and best practices for SAP services

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, can be based at any of our main UK locations and provides hybrid working arrangements, with occasional travel.

Essential experience of the Senior SAP Developer

• Strong SAP background in implementation and support.
• Demonstrable and strong knowledge of OData, CDS, ABAP, WebDynPro, Workflow, Fiori and UI5.
• Experience designing business process diagrams and data flows within relevant written documentation.
• Highly beneficial to have experience of working with S/4 Hanna and BTP.
• Broader knowledge of SAP functional areas such as FI, HCM, SCM, PM, PP, PS, MM, IM and WM.
