Job summary

Gieves & Hawkes on No.1 Savile Row seeks a Full Time Senior Sales to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, with a focus on the RTW department and profitability.

You will lead service standards, develop the team, and maintain retail accuracy and professional communication, while deputising for the Deputy Manager when needed.

This role requires a passion for luxury tailoring and a collaborative approach to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day store management, focusing on the RTW department to drive growth and profitability.
• Lead by example to maintain high customer service standards, team development, and retail standards.
• Deputise for the Deputy Manager in their absence.
• Manage the sales floor team performance across service, brand awareness, product knowledge and visual merchandising.
• Ensure alterations are correctly charged to customers and communicated clearly.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to review staff performance and training needs.
• Lead by example with respectful, professional client interactions and clear written communications.
• Continuously review and improve customer service standards to address issues promptly.
• Resolve customer queries with quick, logical thinking and effective problem solving.

The Role:

To effectively support the Store Manager in the day-to-day management of the store, with particular focus on the RTW department, impacting the growth and profitability of this part of the business. Playing a key role in driving the customer service levels, team development and retention, communication, and retail standards. Deputising for the Deputy Manager in their absence.

Team Management

• To manage the sales floor team performance in all aspects, including service, communication, brand awareness, product knowledge and visual merchandising standards.
• To ensure the team are carrying out effective and only necessary alterations on garments, and that the correct cost is charged on BC to the customer
• To participate in a weekly meeting with the SM & ASM to discuss staff performance, training needs and set objectives for the coming week.

Customer Service

• To lead by example by treating every client with respect and care, ensuring this is upheld across the wider team.
• To ensure any written communication is carried out professionally, with attention to detail, and due diligence performed.
• To continuously review customer service standards across the store, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and improvements made.
• To solve problems and troubleshoot. Dealing with queries and complications as they arise, using quick and logical thinking to solve customer needs.
