Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments.
• At least 2 years in a team lead or tech lead role.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
• Strong understanding of web application performance optimisation techniques.
• Experience with scaling applications and managing platform infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product decisions and technical direction.
• Knowledge of different software delivery methodologies (Agile, Kanban, etc.) and ability to tailor processes to team needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient Ruby on Rails code.
• Lead delivery for a team of engineers and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with senior engineering for technical strategy.
• Contribute to product decisions and feature development.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
• Participate in architectural discussions and help set engineering standards.
