Job summary

WSP in Exeter is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead highway consultancy delivery across the project life cycle, from feasibility to construction. You will manage multi-disciplinary design teams, coordinate with clients and authorities, develop fee proposals and oversee budgets.

The role requires Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, strong experience in road design, drainage, and highway schemes, plus proficiency in Civil 3D/OpenRoads/InfoDrainage.

Qualifications

• Experience across feasibility, concept design through to construction on highway schemes.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and deliver projects to programme and budget.
• Experience in contract documents and contract administration using publishing standards.
• Proficient with design software such as Civil 3D/OpenRoads and drainage/quantity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services.
• Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets.
• Lead and manage staff in delivery of design drawings, specifications, and BOQ.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and QA processes.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
