Job summary

Doubtless Pet Care UK is seeking a UK Senior Risk Manager to join the Risk team in a remote role with occasional London presence. You will oversee underwriting, pricing risk, and regulatory compliance to support sustainable growth and consumer outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, risk reporting to boards, and embedding risk frameworks across functions. You will work with underwriting, actuarial, finance and compliance to support product development and risk governance,

Qualifications

• Recognised risk management qualification and/or actuarial or professional certification.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, pricing methods, and risk frameworks.
• Experience in senior risk roles within UK insurance, ideally personal lines.
• Familiarity with Solvency II, FCA/PRA regulations and risk appetite frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight across underwriting, pricing and reserving.
• Develop and monitor risk appetite, tolerances and group standards.
• Embed Consumer Duty principles and ensure good customer outcomes.
• Lead risk assessments, RCAs and monitoring of emerging risks.
• Produce risk reporting for senior management, committees and regulators.
