Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company in Cambridge is seeking a Senior RF Hardware Design Engineer to lead hardware development for advanced wireless systems in critical environments. The role offers hybrid working in Cambridge and a competitive salary with bonus and excellent benefits.

You will own RF architectures, design transmit/receive chains, select RF components, produce schematics, and drive the product lifecycle from concept to production within a small, capable team.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in RF hardware design and development.
• Experience taking complex hardware from concept through to production.
• Strong debugging and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Define RF architectures for next-generation wireless products.
• Design transmit and receive signal chains and select RF components.
• Produce schematics and support PCB layout activities.
• Develop mixed-signal and RF hardware for advanced radio systems.
• Bring up prototype hardware and validate performance.
• Conduct RF testing, fault-finding and optimisation in the lab.
• Support EMC, environmental and regulatory compliance activities.
• Introduce designs into production and support ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate closely with software, systems, mechanical and manufacturing teams.
