Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence is seeking a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week with variable shifts across 50.2 weeks per year.

You will supervise frontline teams, check deliveries, create weekly rotas, place stock orders, and ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are met, all while delivering excellent customer service on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising frontline teams in a cafe/food service setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties.
• Produce weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Place orders for stock to maintain correct levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling and Hygiene standards.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
