We are looking for a Senior Retail & Sales Team Leader to join our client's team in Lincoln.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing leadership role perfect for a dynamic, confident, and energetic individual who thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment and inspires others to do the same. As a key member of the team, you’ll be a top‑class salesperson focused on delivering a five‑star customer experience. During your shifts you’ll take charge of the shop floor, leading sales teams and engaging with over 500 customers on busy weekends.

Our client is seeking a strong leader who thrives on variety, can adapt to changing priorities, and enjoys taking ownership of their role. You’ll also be responsible for developing, training, and motivating your team to achieve great results. Peak season runs from August to March and the store is open seven days a week, including late evenings until 9pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management – create and deploy staff workload plans with daily briefings, ensure all tasks are completed and hold the team accountable for performance and KPI achievement.
  • Recruitment and Training – recruit and manage a team of up to 10 people, deliver staff development schemes from new recruit to fully‑fledged sales staff, and assess training consistency.
  • Shop Floor Leadership – manage the premises, deliver sales and exceptional customer service to over 500 customers on busy weekends, be the ambassador and initial meet‑and‑greet host to customers, and own opening/closing duties.
  • Customer Service / Operations – organise the goods‑in process, dispatch orders, handle customer complaints and order issues, and ensure customer service standards are met.
  • Site Maintenance – as a keyholder, solve site‑wide issues such as payment machines, phone systems, Wi‑Fi and general maintenance.
  • Sales – motivate the team, hit sales targets, communicate product changes, and maintain a strong, fun, positives customer experience.
Requirements
  • Customer‑facing role with charisma and a personality that customers will remember.
  • Experience selling and leading a retail sales team.
  • Flexible, hard‑working can‑do attitude, with high attention to detail.
  • Open to working evenings, weekends and school holidays during peak season (August–March).
  • Strong communication skills and proactive mindset.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Ability to create documents and presentations to a high standard.
  • Desire to work in a fast‑paced and entrepreneurial business.
  • Experience setting and reviewing KPIs and bonus incentives for a sales team.
  • Energetic and strong customer service and sales capabilities.
  • Dynamic and able to work across different areas such as customer service, sales, goods‑in and order allocation.
Package
  • Salary: £29,000 base + uncapped overtime during peak season (August‑end of May) and performance‑related bonus scheme.
  • Full time: 40 hours per week.
  • Shift patterns: • Low season – reduced hours or flexible working on a small number of Saturday & evening shifts. • Peak season (August‑March) – unlimited overtime opportunities with 2–3 evening shifts per week, 2‑weekend mix, and 9am‑5pm weekday shifts.
  • Holiday: 30 days inclusive of Bank Holidays; store closed during Christmas, Bank Holidays, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
