Job description

As our Senior Resourcing, Rostering and Medical People and Culture Manager, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Resourcing, Medical HR, and Temporary Staffing Teams, providing an effective, efficient, and customer‑focused service that meets the changing needs of the NHS and NSFT.
  • Develop and deliver strategic workforce plans and innovative recruitment solutions, working collaboratively across the People and Culture Directorate, Finance, and Operational colleagues.
  • Ensure our Medical HR service supports safe, high‑quality patient care and meets the needs of our clinical services.
  • Use high‑quality workforce information and analysis to inform and influence strategic and tactical business planning.
  • Oversee compliance with employment governance, visa management, and regulatory requirements, ensuring robust systems and accurate reporting.
  • Champion continuous improvement in service quality, developing and implementing training and capability‑building programmes for recruitment, medical job planning, and rostering.
  • Represent NSFT at internal and external forums, providing expert advice and acting as a role model for compassionate, person‑centred leadership.

  • Degree plus additional relevant training or equivalent experience to master's level.
  • Significant experience at an operational and strategic level in workforce systems, information, and planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, deliver customer‑focused people services, and influence at senior levels.
  • Highly specialised knowledge in workforce systems, recruitment, medical HR, and equality and diversity issues.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
