A children's care organization in Harlow is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Worker to lead shifts and manage staff in a residential home. The role involves ensuring high-quality care for children with learning disabilities and emotional difficulties. Candidates must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and have relevant experience in supervising care staff. The position requires flexibility and commitment to safeguarding children.
We are recruiting experienced Senior Residential Workers for our Residential children's home in Harlow, Essex. Our home caters for 3 children of any gender with a diagnosed learning disability and/or emotional behavioural difficulties between the ages of 7 and 17 years.
As Senior Residential Worker you will be a key factor in the smooth running of the home, helping us to deliver high quality care to the children living at the home.
The post holder will report to the Registered Homes Manager and Deputy Manager of the home and will be responsible Residential staff & Support staff within the home. He/she will support the Homes Manager and Deputy Managers to manage the resources of the home to provide a positive living experience for children who are accommodated there. He/she will undertake responsibilities in the home under the Care Standards Act 2000, the Children\'s Homes Quality Standards and the Children\'s Home Regulations 2015.
Candidates are expected to hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be the equivalent to the Level 3 Diploma. In the past 5 years the candidate should have at least 2 years\' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children and worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision of staff working in a care role.
Our Rota operates over a twenty-four-hour period, and you are expected to be included in the rolling Rota system where you will cover shifts and you will be required to be part of the out of hours on-call system. There is also a requirement to carry out sleep in duties as part of your role for which an additional payment is given.
You are required to be flexible as there will be occasions for contact outside of normal hours including an on-call rota system.
