Job summary

Midlands Care Services in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for our Learning Disabilities children's home. You will lead shifts, support young people with complex needs, and work closely with senior management to ensure high standards of care.

You will have supervisory experience, a Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, and a willingness to collaborate with professionals. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with children with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of Makaton or PECS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to children with learning disabilities, ensuring safety, dignity and wellbeing.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the home alongside senior management.
• Leading shifts, supervising and developing team members.
• Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and keyworking responsibilities.
• Working in partnership with other professionals and agencies.
