Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Dumfries seeks a Senior Residential Childcare Worker/Team Leader to oversee shifts, support young people, and lead a caring team. The role includes 2 on/4 off shifts with overnight sleep-ins and requires a full UK driving licence. Salary ranges £37,350–£38,325 per year with sleep-in allowances.

You will supervise staff, document care, and provide emotional support in a warm, homely environment for up to three young people at Annie's home.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines and school preparations.
• Oversee shift operations to ensure safety and support for children and staff.
• Plan and participate in activities, trips and creative projects.
• Be the first point of contact for the team and keep management updated.
