Responsibilities
Research
  • Delivers the highest quality standards in all areas of production research especially proficient in creating opportunities for conversations with customers and prospects.
  • Conducts deep, data-driven research into emerging trends, market gaps, technologies and competitors.
  • Capable of evaluating multiple ideas at any one time.
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to investigate the feasibility of new ideas.
  • Produces detailed and accurate product specification: features and scope which are in line with customer needs and Hanson Wade commercial requirements; minimising liabilities
  • Produces audience profiles detailing the commercial opportunity
  • Proposes ideas for product development based on primary and secondary research
  • Maintains awareness of disruptive technologies and new research methods.
Project Management
  • Identify, document and track market validation
  • Write a compelling Product Specification that clearly defines products and the value they provide to their users
  • Prepare and deliver functional briefs for: sales, marketing, tech and research
  • Plan and run project meetings for the team on each module, as the internal project manager for each product. This involves guiding, energising and maximising the performance of the marketing, sales and operations function in relation to the product and managing risk
Commercial
  • Work to tight commercial deadlines and sign offs
  • Understand competitor products and services
  • Understand the value of our proposition for each different type of user

You Must be:
  • A life science degree from a leading university (2:1 or 1st)
  • One year plus experience in product research
  • Comfortable with high levels of phone activity speaking to business leaders
  • Experience of working in a professional environment
  • The ability to differentiate yourself to stand out in a competitive market
