Job summary

Scientis Search Ltd invites applications for a Research Scientist focused on implantable biosensing technologies. You will work across modelling, experimentation, and system integration to advance next-generation continuous biomarker monitoring devices.

The role combines theoretical modelling with hands-on lab work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, offering deep scientific and engineering challenges and opportunities to contribute to IP development in healthcare technology.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related technical discipline.
Experience contributing to multidisciplinary research projects.
Publications, patents, or technical project work.
Familiarity with Python or firmware scripting.
Knowledge of finite element modelling techniques.
Experience designing robust experimental investigations.
Ability to analyse data and draw evidence-based conclusions.

Responsibilities

Support modelling and simulation of materials, mechanical behaviour, and system features.
Develop mechanical components, PCB-based systems, fixtures, and test rigs.
Design experiments, verify systems, and characterise performance.
Perform scientific programming and data analysis with Python.
Prepare evidence-based research reports and documentation.
Assist invention disclosures and IP generation.
Develop proof-of-concept prototypes for multidisciplinary research.
