Job summary

NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is seeking a Senior Research Nurse (Surgery & Anaesthetics) to lead and manage the delivery of clinical research studies across the Surgery and Anaesthetics portfolio, including commercial and academic projects.

You will work with principal investigators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery, participant experience and study governance, with opportunities to influence practice and patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with UK NMC registration and current professional practice.
• Educated to degree level (or working towards) or demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development.
• Experience in cardiac or thoracic clinical environments is desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a portfolio of clinical research studies in Surgery & Anaesthetics.
• Identify, screen and recruit research participants; obtain informed consent.
• Ensure governance, safety and data quality across studies; lead nurse-led clinics where appropriate.
• Support study setup, feasibility, QA activities and collaboration with investigators and sponsors.
