Lancaster University in Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK invites applications for a Senior Research Associate as part of the SOILL Step Up project. The role is a two-year fixed-term position with salary £39,906 to £46,049 per year.

The post holder will join the School of Arts to contribute to an EU Horizon project evaluating 100 living labs’ impacts on soil health, with emphasis on evaluation, engagement and dissemination to policy and researchers.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing surveys and interviewing stakeholders.
• Strong ability to analyze text-based data.
• Ability to develop insights for dissemination to wider soil health community and European Commission.

Responsibilities

• Providing expertise in creative evaluation and understanding different dimensions or aspects of impact.
• There is no requirement for technical knowledge of soil health measures; focus on policy impact, local/national/EU engagement.
• You will be involved in data gathering activities such as developing surveys and interviewing members of Soil living labs.
• There will also be significant amount of analysis of this (mostly text based) data.
• Working as a team this analysis will be used to develop insights for sharing to the wider soil health community and the European Commission.
