Job summary

The Alan Turing Institute in London invites applications for a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to lead internationally leading research in language modelling within the Fundamental Research area. You will collaborate with researchers and research engineers to advance sovereign LM capabilities and engage with stakeholders to support delivery.

The ideal candidate has a PhD or equivalent, strong publication record, and proven ability to communicate complex results clearly.

PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience presenting complex research to diverse stakeholders.
Proven track record of high-quality publications.

Responsibilities

Publish and disseminate high-quality research papers and publications detailing outputs and case-studies.
Communicate or present research outputs to diverse stakeholders through conferences, events, meetings, and press opportunities as appropriate.
Adhere to and promote reproducible and ethical data science and ensure secure handling of data and health and safety in all aspects of work.
Undertake high-quality research contributing to Fundamental Research aims.
Contribute to software development including planning, coding, packaging, release and management.
Engage with stakeholders to deploy research outcomes in the real world.
Support proposals, applications and reports to external bodies for funding and contractual purposes.
Define research direction in collaboration with PIs.
Lead on writing up findings and developing publications in peer-reviewed journals.
