Job summary

Econic Partners, a growing European economic consulting firm, seeks a Senior Research Analyst in London. You will engage in data analysis, statistical interpretation, and economic reasoning to support client projects.

You will work with project managers and senior staff, contributing to report writing, discussions, and client-ready insights across UK/EU merger and antitrust contexts.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in economic consulting with exposure to UK/EU mergers or antitrust matters.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree closely related to Economics.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, problem solving, and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

As a Senior Research Analyst at Econic Partners, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality work to our clients. You’ll be involved in the day‑to‑day of projects, working closely with project managers and senior staff to analyse data, find insights, and communicate them to our clients. You’ll be part of a team that is shaping it’s future and yours.

Key responsibilities will include

• Analysing and interpreting data to provide key insights (using statistical programmes to conduct quantitative analyses and create clear data visualisations).
• Applying economic reasoning to solve analytical problems.
• Participating in internal meetings and contributing to the team’s critical thinking.
• Conducting qualitative research on economic theory, market trends and facts, and industry dynamics to support economic arguments.
• Contributing to a positive work environment.

About You

• 1 to 3 year's of experience gained within an economic consulting firm with significant exposure to UK or EU mergers or antitrust matters.
• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree closely related to Economics with demonstrable interest in microeconomics, industrial organisation or econometrics.
• Strong analytical skills – you will enjoy working with data, solving problems and thinking critically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English, with other languages beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
