Job summary

TMX Group is seeking a dynamic journalist to cover financial markets, breaking exclusive stories and producing in-depth features. You will interview investors, build industry relationships, and contribute to Europe-focused reporting across platforms.

The role requires strong investigative instincts, public speaking skills, and the ability to manage a busy calendar with multi-market coverage. Travel to Europe events is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years as a reporter, 3–5 years as a senior reporter in financial journalism.
• Confident public speaker able to moderate panels and speak on camera with authority.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for overseas events in Europe.
• Networking and relationship-building with investors and industry contacts.

ETF Stream is Europe's leading ETF trade publication providing sharp and timely insights for professional investors and the ETF industry. ETF Stream is looking for an energetic and curious reporter/senior reporter to break exclusive news, craft investigative stories, interview investors, build relationships with the industry and moderate our events across Europe.

Requirements

• 1-2 years (reporter), 3-5 years (senior reporter) of experience in financial journalism, preferably with experience of asset management or fund coverage.
• A confident public speaker able to moderate panels and speak on camera with authority.
• A natural curiosity and willingness to get into the weeds of concept ideas and hard-to-uncover information.
• Personable and willing to network and build in-person connections with key investor and industry contacts.
• An organised team player, keen to discuss and debate ideas while balancing a busy news and features calendar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly charting and data sorting in Excel.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for overseas events in mainland Europe.

Advantageous

• CFA/IMC/CISI qualifications.
• An NCTJ qualification or equivalent.
• A keen interest in ETF and index investing.
• German/French/Italian/Spanish language skills.
• An existing contact book of professional investors and asset managers.
• Confident leveraging AI to complete non-editorial tasks more efficiently.
