Job summary

BrightBox Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build and support a modern Azure data platform, enabling secure, scalable and governed data solutions via Azure Databricks. You will work with data architects and engineering teams to deliver data products and onboard data sources.

Responsibilities include building and operating the platform, implementing data governance, security controls, and end-to-end pipelines, while embracing IaC and CI/CD practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Azure Data Engineer.
• Strong expertise with Azure Databricks and Python.
• Proficient in SQL and data governance concepts.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform or Bicep) and CI/CD.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, governed data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate an Azure data platform using Azure Databricks.
• Design Azure storage, processing, integration and data sharing infra.
• Implement data governance, security, backup and monitoring.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to onboard data sources and deliver data products.
• Contribute to ATLAS data roadmap.
• Follow IaC and CI/CD best practices.
