Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) in London seeks a Technical Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support EMIR, MiFID II and SFTR reporting for LME Clear, bringing data analytics and automation to regulatory processes.

The role combines operational reporting with technical analysis, data interrogation, testing and business analysis, collaborating with Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Compliance and Operations teams to resolve issues and improve data quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Regulatory Reporting or related environment
• Experience with large datasets and data reconciliation
• Knowledge of end-to-end transaction lifecycle and regulatory reporting processes
• Experience supporting change initiatives or process improvement projects
• Knowledge of Exchange and CCP would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• EMIR Transaction, Position, Valuation and Collateral Reporting for LME Clear
• SFTR Reporting for LME Clear
• MiFID Reporting for LME
• Submitting other regulation reports for LME and LME Clear
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to support reconciliations, investigations and reporting validation activities
• Analyse large regulatory reporting datasets to identify reporting exceptions, data quality issues and control weaknesses
• Utilise Python and other analytical tools to automate manual processes, controls and management reporting
• Production of timely and accurate MIS
• Static data maintenance
• Maintain procedures for the different reporting services
• Challenge current practices and procedures and develop and implement new procedures to
• Enhance the reporting and controls process as necessary
• Respond to client queries & resolve any issues
• Review BAU processes on a regular basis with a view to increase automation to create efficiencies within the team
• Perform UAT as required to ensure any development changes are accurately implemented
• Perform detailed root cause analysis of reporting issues across multiple systems and data sources
• Support data lineage analysis to understand and document the flow of data from source systems to regulatory reports
• Produce meaningful management information and data driven insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Participate in workshops with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
