Job summary

Leidos UK & EUROPE is seeking a Senior Regression Test Engineer in Whiteley, Hampshire, to join a large-scale systems integration programme. You will create and maintain test plans, design integration and regression tests, and collaborate with engineers, suppliers and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements and perform as expected.

You will analyse test results, investigate defects, support resolutions, and help advance automated regression testing capabilities while driving

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, integration testing, or systems engineering.
• Ability to design and execute test cases from requirements or design docs.
• Experience with functional, non-functional, integration, or regression testing.
• Experience with multi-system projects and third-party integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data/test evidence.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent) certification is beneficial but not essential.

Help Deliver Mission-Critical Systems

We're looking for a Senior Regression Test Engineer to join our team in Whiteley. You'll play a key role in testing complex systems, ensuring new solutions integrate successfully and perform as expected. Working closely with engineers, suppliers, and customer stakeholders, you'll help deliver high-quality solutions by planning, executing, and improving testing activities across a large-scale systems integration programme. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, investigating issues, and collaborating with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Design and execute integration and regression testing activities.
• Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and develop effective test coverage.
• Analyse test results, investigate defects, and support issue resolution.
• Report on testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Validate interfaces, data flows, and system integrations.
• Review large datasets and supplier evidence to verify compliance with requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and quality standards.
• Support the development of automated regression testing capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.

What 'We're Looking For

• Analysing data and test evidence to validate system behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively within a team.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent) certification is beneficial but not essential.

Desirable Skills

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Test automation and automated regression testing.
• API, interface, or message‑based testing.
• Network, infrastructure, or environment testing.
• Agile, DevOps, or Continuous Integration practices.
• SQL, data analysis, or log analysis tools.
• Working within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Supporting large‑scale systems integration or transformation programmes.

Pay Range

£47,600.00-£61,000.00
