Job summary

The Park Hospital in Nottingham is recruiting for a Senior Registered Nurse (Outpatients) to join their team in the Outpatients department. This is a full-time, permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary up to £42,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Ability to lead, mentor and support a nursing team.
• Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and time management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate patient-focused approach.
• Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely decisions and escalate when necessary.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to nursing and healthcare assistant staff.

• Uphold safety culture by infection prevention, medicines management and risk reporting.
• Act as key contact for patients and families, providing updates and information to support shared decision-making.

We have an opportunity for an Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theOutpatients department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to nursing and healthcare assistant staff.
• Support the learning and development of students, junior nurses, and new team members through mentoring, coaching, and clinical supervision.
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
• Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
