Job summary

Southern Hospice Group is seeking a dedicated clinician to support the provision of palliative care to children, young people and families living with life-limited conditions. The role focuses on holistic, family-centred care, enabling respite breaks and meaningful moments while managing complex symptoms within a collaborative team.

As shift lead, you will ensure safe patient allocation, support junior staff, role-model professional behaviour and drive ongoing development.

Job description

This role supports the provision of palliative care to children, young people and families living with a life limited condition. Palliative care includes the provision of respite breaks, enabling children opportunities to have fun and make memories ‘adding life to shortened years’. You will provide high quality, holistic, family centred and compassionate care whilst meeting the complex clinical needs of the children in our care. The hospice delivers end of life care to a small number of children, working with specialist teams providing training and advice to manage children’s symptoms effectively. You will work as part of a large team comprising of clinical staff, activities coordinators and the child and family support team.
