Stockport Council is seeking a Senior Registered Building Inspector to lead on domestic and non-domestic building projects, offering expert advice on regulations and legislation. The role involves supervising projects, mentoring junior staff, and deputising for the Head of Service when necessary.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Building Control Inspector registered at Class 3 (or committed to upgrading to Class 3 ), holding significant Building Control experience with working knowledge of building regulations and legislation and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The role will require you to manage portfolios of domestic and non-domestic construction projects, providing expert advice, supervision across projects, including BSR MDT ( high rise) projects.
You will have experience at a senior level, although other levels of experience will be considered as the organisation can provide ongoing training and support as you look to progress your career.
This is an excellent time to join the service as they undertake a diverse portfolio of major construction / build projects including large-scale housing developments, and town centre redevelopment.
