Job summary

GAP Lifting Hire & Sales in Wheatley (United Kingdom) seeks an experienced Senior Regional Hoist Engineer to install, dismantle and service our rack and pinion construction hoists on site. You will diagnose faults, repair equipment and keep test certificates and service records up to date.

The role requires independence, strong attention to detail and a valid driving licence. It offers opportunities for professional development and is based primarily on customer sites across our hire fleet

Qualifications

• Experience as a Hoist Engineer or similar with relevant mechanical qualifications.
• NVQ Level 2 in Hoist Operations, working towards Level 3, ideal but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and assist other team members when required.
• A customer‑focused approach and strong attention to detail.
• Valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle and maintain GAP Lifting Hire & Sales' hire fleet of rack and pinion (Geda manufactured) construction hoists.
• Diagnose and repair faults; update service records and complete test certificates.

The Role

GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. The Senior Regional Hoist Engineer is a predominantly site based role responsible for installing, dismantling and maintaining our hire fleet of rack and pinion (Geda manufactured) construction hoists. You will diagnose and repair faults, update service records and complete test certificates.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Hoist Engineer or similar with relevant mechanical qualifications, or equivalent time served.
• NVQ level 2 qualified and working towards level 3 in Hoist Operations is ideal but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and assist other team members when required.
