Job summary

Tesco Technology seeks a Senior React Native Engineer to advance the Digital Design System for React Native, building reusable UI foundations used across Tesco’s digital estate. You’ll help shape component APIs, accessibility, testing, documentation, and migration tooling while mentoring teams.

• Experience building reusable UI components and design systems.
• Strong React Native and TypeScript skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and evolve DDS platform components for React Native with clear APIs and accessibility support.
• Translate design intent and tokens into production-ready React Native implementations.
• Improve developer experience through documentation, examples, onboarding, and tooling guidance.
• Collaborate across DDS teams to keep implementations aligned across iOS, Android, RN and Web.
• Lead with architectural judgment, code reviews, and clear communication.
