Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Rail Civil Engineer to join AECOM’s Croydon and London offices. You will provide technical leadership on civil designs for rail projects, from feasibility to detailed design, across stations, depots and power upgrades.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes, advancing careers within a global infrastructure consultancy that values innovation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or working towards this status.
• Recognised engineering qualification or degree in engineering.
• Experience leading civil design and coordinating interfaces on rail projects.

The team provides technical leadership of projects throughout the infrastructure lifecycle from feasibility, preliminary and detailed stage designs. Here’s what you'll do:

• Deliver: Undertake the delivery of a wide range of civils designs ranging from stations to train maintenance and servicing depots and power supply upgrades. We also provide support to other parts of AECOM's business on major multi-disciplinary projects.
• Provide Expertise: Work with the Civils design team on all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects, from conceptual phases to implementation.
• Ensure Quality: Working through the complexities of our Transportation projects, you will hold our clients' hands and overcome problems in unison when they inevitably arise.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer CEng/ IEng or working towards this status.
• Recognised engineering qualification or preferably a degree in engineering.
• Knowledge of Civils Design experience in technical engineering leadership which impact on discipline design principles and demonstrate experience of the successful management of interfaces within projects.
