Job summary

The Royal Free Hospital seeks a HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist (or eligible) to join the radiotherapy physics team for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover post in London. The role requires specialist dosimetry and treatment planning knowledge, a physics degree, and an MSc STP in radiotherapy physics or equivalent.

You'll participate in all aspects of the radiotherapy physics service, ensuring high standards of QA and safety while working across clinical and technology interfaces.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in physics or with a major physics component.
• MSc or higher degree, or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Successful completion of MSc STP in Radiotherapy Physics, ACS Route 2, AHCS STP equivalence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the radiotherapy physics service.
• Manage workload with effective time management, meeting tight deadlines.
• Communicate highly complex information to healthcare professionals and equipment manufacturers.
• Maintain high degree of physical accuracy and dexterity for precision measurements and equipment adjustments.
• Sustain concentration over long periods with sometimes unpredictable work patterns.
