Job summary

Urenco in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Radiological Assessor at Capenhurst. You will act as Technical Authority and Intelligent Customer for Radiological & Chemotoxic Safety Assessments, leading delivery to cost, time and quality.

You will peer review assessments, mentor the supply chain, and advise on safety cases. The role requires CPD, remaining calm in emergencies and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics is required.
• Experience as Radiological/Chemotoxic Safety Assessor or Nuclear Safety Assessor.
• Knowledge of uranium hexafluoride hazards is beneficial.
• Competent safety assessor and peer reviewer.
• Understanding of UK Regulatory Framework and safety case lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for delivery of Safety Assessments to cost and schedule.
• Design Authority Intelligent Customer for external delivery of Safety Assessments.
• Maintain UUK Safety Case Assessment & Management Procedures.
• Provide Safety Case Support to the Capenhurst site.
• Continued professional development and emergency safety advisory.
