Job summary

Circle Health Group's Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Senior Radiographer to join the Imaging department on a 37.5 hour, full-time basis. The role offers a varied shift pattern and a competitive salary.

You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure radiation safety, and support quality standards while delivering high-quality diagnostic images. Applicants should have HCPC registration, degree in Diagnostic Radiography, experience in X-ray and CT, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
• Extensive experience in X-ray with knowledge in CT.
• Previous RPS experience.
• Can undertake I.V. contrast injections.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• HCPC registration.
• A general radiographic background / training.
• IT systems familiarity e.g. RIS / PACS.
• Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
• Awareness of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
• Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
• Successful completion of an approved Cannulation course.
• Successful completion of the Circle Health Group PGD training and comply with the associated PGD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department.
• Carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within your scope of competence to high standards.
• Undertake imaging examinations in line with department procedures, using techniques to minimize dose while delivering high-quality images.
• Practice radiation protection and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
• Comply with IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies.
• Participate in supervision, training and peer review.
• Charge for imaging services in line with guidelines and fulfil billing requirements.
• Comply with imaging department policies, SOPs and WIs.
• Complete mandatory training.
