Job summary

A leading NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking a Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join their Plain Film imaging team. This role involves working across various specialties and provides excellent training opportunities, including funding for courses. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months' clinical experience and hold HCPC registration. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong clinical skills, decision-making abilities, and mentorship capabilities. The position includes participation in a seven-day service, with evening and weekend work required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 months clinical experience in the NHS.
  • Must hold HCPC registration and reside in the UK.
  • Experience in supervising and/or training of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-modality imaging services to diverse patient presentations.
  • Deliver high-quality radiographic imaging and patient care.
  • Participate in 24/7 services including weekends and evenings.

Skills

Knowledge of radiographic anatomy and relevant pathology
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Provide mentorship to students and junior colleagues
Ability to participate in out-of-hours rota

Education

BSc Degree in Radiography, DCR(R), or equivalent
Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma
