Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of radiation transport codes such as MCNP/MCBEND/Attilla.
• Experience of radiation metrology.
• Understanding of safety behaviours regarding radiation.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and conducting analysis and experiments to support system qualification.
• Direct development of in-house toolsets in support of the department goals.
• Leading detailed shield design, balancing requirements.

Skills

Radiation transport codes (MCNP/MCBEND/Attilla)

Understanding of radiation physics

Experience of radiation safety studies

Knowledge of the ALARP principle

Managing technical projects

Education
