Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a Main Civil Contractor who works across the south specializing a variety of heavy civil engineering and environmental sectors.

Role will be based out of their regional offices in Hampshire and you will be working on multiple schemes across the southern region

Qualifications
  • Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
  • Progressed steadily from an Engineering background
  • Previously worked on Civil sectors
  • Chartered or Working towards Chartership
  • Experience of managing a team of on site staff (engineers, foreman, etc)
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparation of budget and forecasts for each contract
  • Review and guide on the preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliations on each project in compliance with the timescales.
  • Action promptly all supply chain invoices accounts and contractual issues.
  • Undertake the preparation of and review of monthly and quarterly Value of Work Done forecast and Earned Value Analysis.
  • Guide the team on the Supply Chain Management and administration and contractual requirement of the Alliance Contract schedules.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial information in relation to Alliance Governance paperwork and the Purchasers pre-construction governance procedures, processes and investment board reviews.
  • Ensure consolidated monthly project and scheme applications for payments are completed, for both Services Orders and Works Orders and ensure that such applications are raised.
  • To work closely with the operational teams, finance and QS teams in evaluating both cost accruals and estimated actual costs in relation to the monthly application for payment/s.
What you\'ll need to succeed
  • Working knowledge of NEC Frameworks
  • Strong analytical & data review / interpretation skills
  • Previous contractual and commercial experience in a similar setting
