Job summary

Core Group in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of major infrastructure programmes in the UK nuclear defence sector. You will manage contracts from award to final account, maximise commercial performance and ensure contractual compliance.

The role requires post‑contract QS experience, NEC3/NEC4 knowledge, subcontractor accounts, and strong forecasting and reporting skills. Hybrid working with office and home-based arrangements in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Post-contract experience in managing commercial delivery of projects.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge.
• Experience handling subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
• Excellent forecasting, reporting and CVR skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery across major engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Assess and manage compensation events and contract variations.
• Produce accurate forecasts, CVRs and commercial reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support project managers with commercial advice.
• Ensure contractual compliance throughout project delivery.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
